ACTION AID | AMA'S STORY
cC
Commissioned by Action Aid, Ama's Story is based on the real account of a 15 year old girl in Ghana who was abducted to become a child-bride. It works as part of their global campaign to end child marriage. The film highlights not only the dangers for young children around the world and the reality of forced marriages, but also shows the work Action Aid is already doing to help combat this problem.
We created a colour palette, characters and world for Ama based on photos of her, her village, school friends, family, and local Action Aid workers. This has kept the aesthetic as true to her story as possible. The result is an honest and touching film which compliments Action Aid's campaign and we hope it will go on to help more children in Ama's situation.
