01-MOMO_BLack1From November and December onwards, Mosaic has a  slate of projects in production and we’re looking for talented professionals to become part of the Mosaic Family. The jobs are all on a contract basis, both full and part time – and range from a few weeks through to 6 months and more.

We want to hear from the following people:

Animation Directors

We’re seeking competent and experienced animation directors who can work in either 2D or 3D (After Effects, Flash, Maya etc).
You will need to:
-Be able to work with a team or together with other designers and animators.
-Be able to manage a small team
-Have at least 4 years experience in the animation industry.
-Be able to work from initial concepts, storyboards, animation, compositing and final delivery.
-Provide a recent showreel with the relevant animation work.
-Be able to work in our studio in London

This would mainly be for our short form content – and covers a range of approaches from our Animated Documentary output (including Animated Minds, Seeking Refuge. What Makes Me Me, I Can’t Go To School Today etc.) to our more Motion-Design related output, such as our work for Mr Porter, and some of corporate output. When applying please let us know your specific skill set – including evidence of both animation and design (if applicable). At least four years industry experienced in TV, Film or online content needed.

Motion Design Lead

We’re seeking a number of lead animators who can work with After Effects (and C4D) with a strong expertise in Motion Design and Compositing. We strongly recommend that you look at the animated output of Mosaic Films and Mosaic Motion to get a sense of the kind of output we have. Work would involve: Animating explainers using motion graphics, title sequences, short films, etc.

You will need to:
-Have at least four years industry experienced as a motion graphic designer for television or film
-Have had experience in being able to clearly storyboard ideas.
-Be able to take projects through from initial concept through to completion
-Have a great reel.
-Be able to work in our studio in London

C4D, design skills and knowledge of third party plugins in After Effects (Trapcode, Mocha, Duik, Rubber hose) a plus

Designers – Senior

We are looking for a number of designers who can contribute to our output of short form content.

You will need to:
-Demonstrate a high competency in character design, and/or background design and motion design assets.
-Have at least 4 years experience using illustrator and/or Photoshop.
-Have experience designing for animation
-Be able to work in our Studio in London.

Production Co-ordinators/Production Managers

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Production Co-ordinators who can help devise, manage and maintain various production schedules. May be working across numerous projects or on one project alone – depending on the complexity and schedule. Can consider full-time or part time. Ideally the candidate will have at least two years experience as a production co-ordinator / PM on animated output, and can work with small teams, and larger ones too (although max of 20). Needs to be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, and have direct experience of pipeline and workflow for quick turnaround projects, including use of software such as Shotgun (desirable but not essential).


We’re seeking Producers for our Learning and Educational output. This is often short form content and is for a variety of clients including Open University, BBC Learning, Publishers, and various NGO’s both in the UK and overseas. The content will usually be fully animated, or will include animated content with live action, therefore a knowledge of producing and working with animators is essential. All producers will work under a nominated Executive Producer. We’d hope that any potential applicant could offer the following:

-Track record in producing short form non-fiction content for a range of clients.
-Ability to write scripts (desirable) or to work closely with scriptwriter to deliver great scripting – either for VO or PTC. Please note, some of our content is unscripted animated documentary, in which skills are about overseeing contributor selection.
-Experiencing in managing short form animation projects, with an understanding of how to communicate client’s needs to animation team, with a solid grasp of the scheduling and budget issues inherent in being able to deliver quality product to the client.
-Needs to be able to identify the resources needed to support the project, and work proactively to identify potential problems with pipeline and fix.
-To be able to monitor budgets and monitor financial reporting.
