Mosaic Films and DFG Films announce merger
Today, Mosaic Films and DFG Films announced their merger, to form MOSAIC FILMS LLP, a venture which promises to deliver high quality factual television that charts new territories in content, vision and method.
Mosaic Films has been producing award-winning factual television since 1974. It is renowned for pioneering innovative techniques in the production of factual television, and for its expertise in large-scale international co-productions working with filmmakers native to the countries in which particular projects are located. DFG Films was amongst the first production companies to bring animated documentaries to the UK. It has produced numerous factual television series and emerging talent projects in partnership with Channel 4, Channel 5 and ITV.
Andy Glynne, Executive Producer and Director of DFG Films, has become Managing Director of Mosaic Films LLP. He commented:
"Mosaic Films and DFG Films are joining forces to build upon our shared and long-standing commitment to producing high quality factual television that charts new territories in content, vision and method.
"Together we look forward to building on our joint expertise in innovative international co-productions, and on the way we work with leading, creative filmmakers - here, and overseas - whilst also nurturing and bringing through new and emerging talent."
Colin Luke, the founder of Mosaic Films, commented:
"I'm delighted to hand over the steering of Mosaic to Andy Glynne who shares the same vision for working with younger and emerging filmmakers in original ways. I believe his energy and talent will drive Mosaic to new heights."
Mosaic Films LLP has already started work on its first new commission, the second series of the award-winning Animated Minds series of animated documentaries.
